Luther Jones has been in contact with IndieFlicks to inform of us a monthly network meeting that takes place in Brighton which they feel filmmakers in the South might be interested in:
Son Of Movie Bar, is, as the name suggests, the sequel night to Movie Bar, Brighton’s friendly networking night for film makers or anyone with an interest in being part of film making.
Son Of Movie Bar is held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at The Cornerstone pub on Elm Grove in Brighton. As always, entry is free!
Continuing the tradition of its fatherly night, there’s the usual ice breaking daft film quiz with prizes to be won and then a chance to see films from both local and national film makers.
In coming months we hope to have some guest speakers to come along and share their film making tips with us, along with other guests from the arts funding programs to developers of software relevant to the modern film maker.
Due to demand we’re also planning on doing some “Film Master classes” where we will be teaching some simple techniques that can be used on your next productions.
This is a night not only for the usual writers, directors, actors and producers but also for any creative person who is interested in using the medium of film to show off their talents, from illustrators, animators, graphic designers to fashion and clothing designers, make up artists, musicians etc.
If you have a film you wish to have shown at Son Of Movie Bar, or have any other comments, queries or requests then drop Luther a line at
